Regrettably The Folkstore passed away on 12-24-2011, of multiple causes. It was born sometime in 1972 to first father, Thane Mitchell. Subsequently owned by second father Darrel McMichael 1974-1977, and finally third father Stu Herrick 1977 to the present.
Able and enthusiastic assistance provided down through the years by (among others) Mike Tagawa, Larry Hanks, Ellen Marx, Barbara Lamb, Tom Moran, Rich Levine, Mark Graham, Jack Hansen, Peter Weismiller, Cliff Perry, and the gold watch goes to Jere Canote.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any small locally owned business still alive.
